Are you a student-centered educator committed to helping every learner reach their full potential? As a Secondary School Interventionist, you will play a critical role in supporting students who need targeted academic assistance, helping them overcome challenges, strengthen foundational skills, and build confidence across subject areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to students in small groups or one-on-one settings, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific interventions aligned with grade-level standards.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and learning support teams to identify students in need of intervention and develop personalized learning plans.
- Use data-driven methods to assess student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and document outcomes to ensure measurable academic improvement.
- Design and implement engaging, scaffolded lessons that build essential skills while promoting student independence and academic resilience.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers to provide updates, gather insights, and promote shared strategies for student success.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to a school-wide culture of continuous improvement and inclusive education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience working in middle and/or high school settings in intervention, learning support, or student services roles.
- Strong understanding of differentiation, intervention strategies, and progress monitoring tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
